The creation of a technical resources centre is mentioned for the first time within the framework of the charter for the economic development of the "Pays de Morlaix" (Land of Morlaix) at the end of the 1990's. In 1991, the CRT association is established by a group of partners: Tristan Corbière secondary technical school, the CCI, some Finistère industrial firms' representatives and some State, Region and Department's representatives .
Measuring instruments calibration, metrology...
After the construction of a laboratory at Tristan Corbière secondary school and the acquisition of the initial equipment, the Centre of metrology begins its activity in 1996. The laboratory offers a complete service in dimensional metrology and obtains COFRAC accreditation. In 2002, a new and specifically dedicated building is built on the site of Morlaix airport, within immediate proximity of the CCI. It includes 300 m2 of laboratories and a 300 m2 technological showroom for a total surface of 850 m2. The activity of the Centre is then broadened to metrology of temperatures and pressures.
3D Expertise, non-destructive x-ray monitoring
In 2006, the CCI decides on an ambitious program of investment which notably leads to the acquisition of an X-ray tomograph from 2007: a tool which allows the CRT to position itself as one of the only service providers in France in the field of non-destructive monitoring. At the same time, the CRT ties up new technical partnerships which enable it to provide a new range of services in engineering.
