Our missions

The mission of Morlaix Chamber of Commerce and Industry is to contribute to the development:
- of the businesses under its jurisdiction: 6,129 companies of the trade, services and industry sectors,
- and of our territory.

Services to companies

The services provided are quite varied: information, advice for development, training, etc. For the most part, these services are free.  They are aimed company managers, and are carried out in the greatest confidentiality, individually or within the framework of collective actions.
To achieve these missions, Morlaix CCI relies on its own teams of permanent employees, spread out between the Morlaix head office and offices in Carhaix and Châteauneuf-du-Faou.  It also benefits from the services of the regional, national and international network of the Chambers of Commerce and Industry.
Different job supporting programmes are offered, within the framework of a regional organization, to improve the performances of manufacturers in the field of quality, environment, planned production, Human Resources and overseas involvement.  In this last sector, Morlaix CCI has specialized within the regional network towards Great Britain, Ireland, Greece, Finland, Slovakia, Croatia, ...
On a departmental scale, Morlaix CCI, along with Brest and Quimper CCIs, created the "CCI 29" association, to lead several action programmes together in the field of environment, new business creation, tourism, international trade, business compliance, and electronic signatures.

Territory development

In addition, Morlaix CCI manages numerous issues connected to town and country planning, and its attractiveness, with the cooperation of local administrative units and other consular authorities: its role spans from reflection to investment. It helps out with economic planning procedures (SCOT, PLU), participates in the decisions concerning town and country planning, development of common projects, improvement of the environment, development of high speed  internet infrastructure systems, setting-up of companies, preservation of shops in rural areas, town centre activity, support for the emergence of new products or tourist sites, etc. The CCI regularly publishes motions promoting the opinion of managers on current economic problems and it is committed to major issues for the competitiveness of the companies in the district: RN 164, TGV Ouest, etc.
